I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghost by MissyM

I have always said that I don't believe in ghosts, but because of my son today in my heart of hearts know that I am lying.
In 2006 my Mother and I moved into an old barn house that had been converted into a duplex with a newer living room/bedroom attachment on the back. My room was upstairs in the original part of the house and my Mother's on the main floor of the attachment. When we moved in there was a bed left in my room that we had to destroy in order to get it down the stairs. The bed was placed about a foot off the wall (I placed my bed right against the wall.)

Before I was pregnant I had witnessed lights flickering, turning off and on by themselves but always chalked it up to old wiring. Then 4 years ago while I was pregnant with my son I started waking up always between 2:45 and 3:30am hearing a woman murmuring from the vacant second bedroom upstairs. Again I chalked it up to old house moans and groans.
The first time I saw the elderly women I was asleep, only it felt so real I could have sworn I was awake. I was lying in my bed and heard a noise so I sat up to see a round stumpy woman at my bedroom door. Her movement was staggered and as fast as I saw her at the door she was in my face trying to swat me. I fell backwards in a panic and landed in a one foot space between the wall and my bed. Instantly waking up shaking uncontrollably just after 3am. It scared me so badly I was no longer comfortable sleeping in my room. I moved myself from then on out to the couch downstairs in the newer part of the house.
About a month later while I was asleep on the couch I had awoke again sat up and looked into the kitchen (which was in the original part of the house) to see the same women sitting at the table staring at me. I lied back down and she was gone.
The reason I am writing this is because I had never experienced anything ghostly like that before I became pregnant with my son and haven't had anymore experiences like that now after having him. But my son however is going to be 3 and can speak especially well for his age. He has been hearing and seeing things that he likes to tell Mommy about. Recently we have moved into a older home and my son has told me that there is a man knocking on the door downstairs on 2 different occasions but this doesn't scare him (he still likes to play downstairs).
There is a rabbit however that he calls "ghost bunny" who terrifies him. Always telling mommy where it is ("ghost bunny's upstair" or "ghost bunny is hiding in the corner"). Also, I was always very close to my Grandmother who passed way in 2004. My Mother and I have never talked to my son about my Grandmother (mostly because we miss her and it hurts still) about a month ago while shopping, my son out of the blue told me that "Mamere Bea" was in my heart and she missed me. My heart sank and I asked him if he had seen Mamere Bea but he just kept telling me that "Mamere here..." and pointed to my heart. It was a odd thing for a 2 year old to say. How would he know to say something like that? Also last night he asked to keep the light on in his room. When questioned he said that someone keeps saying "hello" and it scares him when the lights are off.
Again, I still tell people I don't believe in ghosts but with everything that I'm witnessing its getting harder and harder to tell my son that there is no man knocking on the basement door.

Dreams Come True And So Do Nightmares by blank

Last weekend was all set to head towards my grandma's place, all the hustle and bustle was for my cousin sister's first holy communion we had to attend. My sister and my dad left Friday evening and I had to wait until Saturday to take my mother along with me. Finally we were all set to go and hit the road. After a couple of hours on my motorcycle we reached the place, I was dead weight and couldn't carry myself after the long ride and my body was craving for rest.
It was a very long time since I had been there at least eight months or so I had to go along their chit chat and after an hour was the first one to hit the sack. Ours is a very big family and we are the only ones living nuclear. All neighbors there were related in some way or the other, I was sleeping in my aunt's place, the house was quite empty but I could still hear them talking and laughing outside, all these noises vanished in seconds and I dozed off.
Dead tired there was no way for a dream but a sudden nightmare popped up. An eerie feeling that the cot I was lying on was surrounded by spirits. It was just a dream but I was getting restless. In an instant I could make out that one of the spirits was coming right at me, the closer and closer it approached, my trembling went higher and higher and I jumped out of the bed gasping for air. A little relieved that the dream was broken but before I could take a second thought from the foot of the cot popped up a dark thing. Structured just like a man, I could see its limbs racing towards me I moved behind for self defense but to my shock woke again from a dream.
I realized that I had been dreaming of having a dream. A little complex but was a headache after the tired day. Before I could hit the bed again I heard some noise and turned towards my right hand side where my aunt's small bookshelf was. From behind it ran a creature towards the bedroom door and vanished in a second. I was almost out of my wits seeing something rush out from where I was sleeping at midnight, it took a couple of seconds before I could digest the sight of it and then I headed towards the hall to find no one there. To add more mystery to it the house was latched from the outside and they were all at my grandma's house. I had to knock and then ring my aunt to get off there. Couldn't share it with anyone on that day but something that convinced me was that I didn't have to sleep there everyday.
I really don't know how it feels to you but for me it was too complex than being scary. Because the creature that rushed from the bookshelf was the same kind that came in my dream.

My Parents House by anu

My Parents house is located in a very sophisticated locality in india (Mumbai). It was built by my great grand father in 1936 i.e before indian independence. My great grand father was a lawyer and was employed by british but was secretly involved in the independence movement. So many meetings of the freedom fighters used be held secretly at our place.
And the real story begins now... It was in the year 1992, when I was 12 years old, my younger brother was suffering from typhoid - a type of fatal viral fever and was admitted to he hospital and both my parents were with him. I clearly remember it was 16th of july and was raining heavily outside and I was sleeping besides my grand mom. Some voices disturbed me, I could hear some one talking distinctly and now I could hear more than one person. I was shaken and got out of my bed, suspecting robbery. My grandmom woke up too. We both were frightened out of wits but gathered courage and went into the other room from where the noise was coming and peeped through the door. And to our horror, we could see 4 people in their late twenties, dresses in indian attire as they used to in 1930's / 1940's and as soon as they saw us they vanished. I passed out and my grandmom suffered a paralytic attack.
When I came to my senses, I was in medical car , and my grand mom in intensive care unit. She expired some years back but was in explicable to such things, until this date chills run down my spine. But never again anything happened like that.

Sleep Paralysis Or What by sunny

This is a true story which happened to me around 10 years ago that's around 1999. I had newly shifted to this place called Mira Road which is just outside Mumbai limits. I had shifted just six months back so I was fairly new to this place.
I was around 16 years old at that time and the people residing their were newly married or with kids as small as 2 or 3 years old, naturally I didn't gel with anyone there because no one was of my age.
Slowly I started having this habit of sleeping and was turning out to be a lazy kid. I would sleep and then feel like I wanted to wake up but could not as if something was holding me from waking which scared me to no end. Afterwards I knew about this as sleep paralysis.
But one day as I was sleeping I just woke up went for a pee then came back had a glass of water and then I heard some voices from outside. Curiosity got the better of me and I looked outside. I saw my neighbor ladies talking about something.
Suddenly I woke up from my sleep went for a pee, came back for a glass of water then heard some voices and saw my neighbor ladies talking about something, then at once it struck me that these things exactly happened the same way I saw it in my dreams. I could not understand how could I see something in my dream which was about to happen. I am still baffled about it. It never happened to me.

Strange Shadows By fernscli

Myself and my elder brother started seeing strange things happening in our bedroom only during the night after all lights were out. I was only 9 years old and my elder brother 10 a one year older than me. We started seeing strange shadows in our bedroom moving around. Personally what I saw was really freaky. As myself and my elder brother were both in one room sleeping but with separate beds... I started to see a dark shadow of a lady with a hood on her head standing near our beds. I got so scared and freaked out that I started sweating all over my face. This happened on day one.
Day 2: The next morning I asked my brother (Terence) if he saw anything during the night he said nothing. Now it was day two this night that my brother saw it too. The image of the same lady that I had seen but this time we could see her mouth wide open. This time I really got goose bumps and freaked out badly, I started sweating even more all over. I cried out to my brother. He was asleep at first but after hearing my cries he woke up and I asked him if he could see what I seeing. To my surprise he said YES in fear. I pulled the blanket over my face to avoid it. I checked to see if it was still there and it was gone. Our bedroom door was always open at that point of time during both days.
Day 3: The following morning we both told our mother about what we saw the past 2 nights. Our mom laughed at us as if it was a joke. We tried to tell her but all in vain. She didn't believe us. That night this time as lights were out... We decided to close our bedroom door but didn't latch it. After an hour I could feel someone watching us. I checked to see who it was... You will not believe what I am about to tell you...please...this is for real 100%. Our room door already opened half-way. I called out to my brother, after seeing the door opened he got scared. Now we both freaked out. What scared me the most was that I saw four dark (shadow type) fingers come across our bedroom door moving at the edge of the door. As the door was open I felt cold breeze blow on my face, I didn't bother to look in fear and just covered our faces under our blankets... This continued for almost a week...
Day 6: This was the final day of our one of the scariest experiences we've ever had in our lives...
The following morning we both tried to explain it to our mom... But as usual our efforts in vain... Mom laughed at us and told us that we are only imagining things. If we were imagining stuff like this how is it that myself and my brother could see such scary images at night? That too for continuous days? Coming to the end of our nightmares...
It was Friday on day 6 after 12. 10am 1979... It started again... This time we closed the door shut but didn't latch it as mom told us not to latch the door or she would scold us both. So we shut it tight. After 40 minutes we were asleep. The door was already wide open. For some reason I just woke up and saw the door open... This time no fingers were at the door. It was wide open... Our kitchen was just at the end of our room... I could see shadows moving around the kitchen and touching our basket of fruits. I really started crying now as I saw this with a lot of fear. I called out to my brother... As I called him one shadows, a lady in the hood moved towards my brother from the kitchen with a wide open mouth and I saw it coming towards him... The lady almost touched my brother's feet... At that moment by brother screamed out loudly this woke up my mother... Our mom rushed to see what happened only to see me cry and my elder brother in fear. We told her this time in tears... And somehow our mom was not really convinced but for our safety she sprinkled holy water and had our house blessed the very next morning...
After that... Nothing ever happened again... It was all gone. Now we have abandoned (sold it) that Building and living elsewhere in Goa itself. That's all I have to say... Those were one of the most bad days of my life and I hope will never experience them ever again.
I am sorry to make this so long to read... But all I have to say is that ghosts do exist in this world and the only way to fight such spirits is by saying our daily prayers. Prayer is one of the best weapons we can use for protection from evil. It is Priceless and we have nothing to loose but everything to gain. I never miss out on my daily prayers because of Jesus Christ our lord... I am alive until today and safe in his care.
Thank you lord.
Thank you for reading this... Keep praying well. God Bless All.
Please do post your comments and feedback on this...thanks.

Spirit Of My Mother by Neha

Hello to all of you friends. I'm not new to this site but this is my first story here. So please forgive me for any mistakes. My family is very religious and we belong to a Brahmin cast (Hindu). My mother died in a car accident when I was 5. This incident took place when, I was around 12 years old I am 20 now.
There was a religious function that all the family had to attend "Yagya" (a kind of holy fire worshiping). It is a function where all the couples in our family have to sit in the prayer. During the prayer all the couples join together and pray. My father was the only single there and sitting all on his due to my mother passing away.
I felt so sad to see my father on his own and my uncles with my aunties. I remember I started crying because I was missing my mother badly. It was not long before the prayer was soon over.
There was a lot of relatives in the house sleeping arrangements were done on ground floor, as we have five rooms there. On the second floor there were only two rooms. The first one was mine and second one belonged to my father but because of this function my father decided to sleep with the rest of the cousins. I slept in my room.
It was past midnight near about 2 or 3 am I was thirsty and wanted a drink a glass of water. So as usual I called my father to bring me a glass of water. I called out for him two or three times but no reply. As I was to get up my mother walked in to give me a chilled glass of water. I took a sip of it and suddenly dawned on me that my mother passed away 7 years before. How is it possible? I was shaking badly and was wet with sweat. She was there smiling at me and she looked as real as a human could look. I called out for my father very loudly. I screamed so loudly that near enough all the family members came running towards my room. As soon as my father came into my room my mother had disappeared!
My father was worried about me he kept asking me what happened. I was speechless for 2-3 minutes before I told him what happen to me. Some said it was a dream and some said I was seeing things. I was just about to accept the latter but then I asked questioned them "ok then who give me the glass of water"? My grandfather said, "May be you were sleep walking." My grandmother took my side and told them she had locked my father's room (where the fridge was). My father checked on it, and yes it was locked. The glass of water was still chilled.
Since this day my mother keeps visiting me. There is a chain of some incidents where she helped me some time.
The main thing I need to know from you good people is this ok because she never harms me, but whenever she visit me I feel very dizzy sometimes I get a fever without any reason. She has also started to appear in front of my fiancé. Need suggestions.
